Subway – A Healthy (???) Alternative

Many people have this misconception that Subway is a healthier alternative to other fast food restaurants.  Looking closer at the Product Ingredients page taken from Subway’s website shows a different story.

* Azodicarbonamide is the same ingredient used in yoga mats.  This ingredient can be found in most bread and cereal products, which is why I make my own bread and no longer feed my family cereal.

* * Food coloring, such as FD&C yellow #5, that is used in Subway’s pickles has been known to be linked to behavioral problems in children, such as ADD/ADHD.

* * * Also notice the lengthy ingredients in each product.

Remember one of my rules:  if you can’t pronounce the ingredient, you probably shouldn’t be eating it.
