Using Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade to Lower Your Cholesterol


All my life I’ve had very high lipid levels. I have a family history of heart disease and get the high cholesterol from that. The 252 you see here from 6 months ago is actually the lowest it’s ever been.  Even when I was 60 lbs less than I am today, my lipid profile was always very high. But…..I refuse to take statins and prefer natural approaches.

The first pic compares the results from last August 2017 to February 2018. The second pic are the results of a test called Lipoprotein A, which is a “sticky cholesterol.” Lipo(A) test is a more accurate determination of cardiovascular disease risk than cholesterol levels.

“Evidence suggests that Lp(a) may be more firmly retained in the arterial wall than LDL. Furthermore, Lp(a) transports oxidized phospholipids whose plasma levels are strongly correlated with the severity of coronary artery disease. Interestingly, these Lp(a) associated oxidized phospholipids possess pro-inflammatory activity. This might be one of the links between lipids and inflammation in atherosclerosis.

There is also some experimental data suggesting that Lp(a) may promote clot formation in arteries burdened by atherosclerotic plaque. This may be one of the mechanisms behind the involvement of Lp(a) in heart attack and stroke.”

Less than 75 is considered desirable for Lipo(A). And here I got a 13!!

Since I know DE works for me (I see the results), for maintenance level, I’m going to take 1 tsp of DE once a day for 1 month, and do that twice a year.

There are so many benefits of Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade, and to list them all would make this a very long post.  In fact, I use this for my organic garden so I don’t have to use pesticides and it works!  One of the most important things to know about DE is that in order to ingest it, it MUST be FOOD GRADE!!  Another note is that you need to drink a lot of water when you ingest this powder as it will dry your body out if you do not drink enough.  The general rule is to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces.  Water is great for you anyway, so you should be drinking a lot.  And third, you need to take DE either one hour before or 2 hours after you eat.  Reason is that DE is highly absorbent and will absorb whatever nutrients you take with it.  While you can put it in a smoothie or any other drink or food, problem is you will miss out on the nutrients associated with the food or drink that you take with it.  That is why I put a teaspoon in a glass of water and nothing else.
